Delightful Wines
Wine with Winsor

Brilliant white
Sandalford 2011 Classic Dry White
A
classic Margaret River blend of semillon and
sauvignon blanc that is both refreshing and
food friendly. There’s some zingy tropical
fruit characters, but also some intense crisp,
refreshing acid that makes it ideal for drinking
on a hot summer day. This would be perfect
with a seafood platter and is best enjoyed
well chilled over the next few months while it
is still young and vivacious.

Affordable import
Le Chat Noir 2010 Pinot Noir
Who says imported wines have to be expensive? This is a really lovely pinot noir from the fast-rising Aude Valley region of France (in the foothills of the Pyrenees) that can be found for under $20. It hits all the right notes with some attractive fl oral aromas, bright red berry fl avours, hints of spice and just a touch of savouriness. A really lovely red for the price, and extremely easy to drink with or without food. A wine designed for casual enjoyment.

Soft red
Port Phillip Estate 2011 Salasso Rosé
One of the most noticeable wine trends over the past two summers has been the growing popularity of rosé wines made in a drier style; a movement that has been dubbed “the rosé revolution.” From a terrifi c winery on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula, this is a very savoury, quite dry wine; extremely stylish, that blossoms when paired with food. Made from shiraz grapes, it has an attractive salmon hue and strawberries and cream fl avours kept in check by some subtle earthiness.
